It is believed this spot was the original site of an oracular cult dedicated to the worship of Gaia/Gaea the primal Mother Earth Goddess.
What a concept - Mother Earth Goddess - It’s the closest many of us will ever come to religion. I
Many indigenous cultures see and feel Earth as an animate being and he is honored and venerated as such. Interesting this word ‘venerate’ it has its roots etymologically in the Latin venerates cognate Venus - beauty, love, to desire, to strive for.
It is my vision and intention along with many, many others that we remember, reawaken and actively participate in the collective veneration of Gaia - this earth, the elementals and each other.
This is my living prayer.
